One of my 30x30cm colourful paper prints depicting the Black hill of Earlston.

I initially painted ‘Oops a Daisy’ while sitting amongst the daisies and Scottish thistles, with the Black Hill of Earlston stretching out before me. I wanted to capture the energy and vibrancy of that moment—the way the wildflowers seemed to dance in the breeze and the patchwork of fields rolled gently into the distance.

The foreground is all about texture and movement, with bold, expressive strokes bringing the flowers to life. I love working outdoors because it allows me to immerse myself in the landscape and respond to it directly. This piece reflects my connection to the countryside—a mix of colour, light, and nostalgia for the beauty of rural Scotland
