I painted this special scene of Melrose Greenyards for Gillian, in memory of her dad, Wattie Todd — a true legend of Melrose Rugby.

Titled ‘The Heartbeat of Melrose Rugby’, it captures a quiet, powerful moment between Wattie and his grandson Robbie on the pitch that meant so much to him.

Wattie was a proud Melrose player in his younger days and a lifelong supporter of Melrose RFC. His love for the game lives on through Robbie, as his legacy continues to echo across the Greenyards.
