This painting captures the quiet magic of a moment Matt and Mhairi will never forget. Two friends who met at sixteen, they spent years looking out for one another as life ebbed and flowed around them. What began as friendship eventually revealed itself as something deeper, and in early 2023 they finally saw what everyone else already knew—they were meant for each other.

Matt proposed on a wildly wet day at Glamis Castle, the two of them sheltering from the rain on the old stone bridge. This artwork celebrates that moment: the soft light, the colours of the landscape, and the joy of two souls choosing one another.
